No hair out of place for general

MILITARY officers are sticklers for perfection – even in their appearances.

Abri’s social-political chief, Lieutenant-General Bambang Yudhoyono, is no exception.

At the start of a press conference here last week, he whipped out a red comb to comb his hair.

Said one of his aides: “He can’t have a hair out of place, not with a camera zooming in on him.”

One female reporter could not stop poking fun at the 48-year-old three-star general.

“No need to comb, you are handsome enough,” she said aloud.
