Benny H Goh

Benny H Goh is the founder and Managing Director of Parami Solutions, a boutique consulting company based in Singapore. The firm specializes in advising global multinationals on Asia businesses, including China and Southeast Asia.

He is also the founder and Chairman of Parami Solutions (HK), a holistic systems integrator in the smart building space. The Company in Hong Kong focuses on installation and integration of traditional HVAC, fire and security solutions embedding iOT devices enabling detailed energy management, as well as carbon footprint accounting.

Benny has strong industry experience in data centres; HVAC; building solutions in IoT for fire and security; power solutions such as renewables as well as understanding regional markets in the Asia Pacific. He has lived in China, Hong Kong and Indonesia for more than 20 years, holding various APAC leadership roles in global multinational companies.

He was previously the CEO of Cyber Data Centre, a Singapore start-up in the Green Data Centre sector. In 2018, he was the Managing Director of Asia in Aggreko, a UK publicly-listed power solutions company, and from 2013 to 2018 he was the President of APAC for NYSE-listed Tyco, which was active in fire, security and building solutions. Earlier in 2011, Benny was the President of the NYSE-listed company, China Yuchai International; and he also held various leadership positions in Ingersoll Rand and Trane, including Managing Director and Vice-President, North Asia, for the climate solutions business.

He is an active Board Mentor with UK-based Criticaleye, which is a peer-to-peer network of CEOs and senior executives. He mentors these foreign and local executives in MNCs, preparing them for their executive careers with their companies.

Benny is also an active Innovation Advisor for IPI (Innovation Partner for Impact), a subsidiary of Enterprise Singapore. He has been actively advising Singapore SMEs on their businesses, helping them evaluate and map out their technology and growth strategies in the market.

Benny began his business career as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney in Chicago, and later was a Director at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, Singapore.

Benny was a President’s Scholar and SAF Overseas Scholar. He had spent the first 11 years of his working life with the Republic of Singapore Air Force, culminating his military career as a Lt.-Colonel in the Ministry of Defence in 1992. His military career included the pioneering the E2-C Airborne Early Warning Squadron, winning the prestigious Andover Prize at the RAF Advance Staff College in Bracknell, the United Kingdom. While in the Ministry of Defence, he contributed greatly to the Defence Policy Department’s strategic direction and the policies of the Armed Forces.

Benny has a BA (Physics) and MA (Physics) from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has also the ICCG certification in Corporate Governance from INSEAD Business School.
