Ceremonial welcome for Thai PM Chuan tomorrow
THAI Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai will be accorded a ceremonial welcome when he arrives here tomorrow for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, a Foreign Affairs Ministry statement said yesterday. Mr Chuan, who will call on President Wee Kim Wee and hold talks with Mr Goh and Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew, will address Singapore businessmen at a luncheon hosted jointly by the Trade Development Board and Singapore Manufacturers’ Association during his visit.
He will also tour the Port of Singapore Authority and the Housing Board, the Foreign Affairs Ministry statement added.
Mr Chuan’s delegation includes Deputy Prime Ministers Dr Supachai Panitchpakdi and Mr Amnuay Virawan, seven ministers and deputy ministers, senior officials and leading businessmen.
